International Exhibition on Co- and Tri-Generation
COGENEXPO 2009 is the new International Exhibition focusing on Cogeneration and Trigeneration. Systems that together produce heat and electricity, or heat, electricity and cooling - by exploiting the energy recovered from flue gas and cooling circuits that would otherwise be wasted - are based on technology that is mature, economically sound and capable of operating with any source of heat.
At COGENEXPO 2009 manufacturers of cogeneration and trigeneration systems (with steam turbines, turbogas turbines, motor-generators, combined cycles) will have an excellent opportunity to show potential users - industries, public bodies, hospitals, large retailers - systems and solutions that cut costs, save primary energy, reduce CO2 emissions and help safeguard the environment. Distributed cogeneration systems, moreover, can be easily adapted to exploit renewable sources, such as biogas.
As well as the actual exhibition itself, COGENEXPO 2009 will include conferences, workshops and seminars involving companies, organizations and associations operating in the sector, from feasibility studies to installation, testing, grid connection and routine maintenance of systems.
COGENEXPO 2009 will be held as part of GREENERGY EXPO 2009, the new International event dedicated to companies and professionals who want to "produce energy while saving the Earth" alongside the following exhibitions: BIOGAS EXPO 2009 (biomethane), GEOTHERMICA 2009 (geothermal energy and heat pumps), ENERLEGNO 2009 (wood-based energy), EUROPELLETS 2009 (pellets and heat production), HYDRO ENERGY 2009 (mini hydroelectric energy), ENERGY MARKET 2009 (free energy market).
